Time to put them together!

Now let's add our poem!

What is loudness?

The first instrument shown is the one we decided to focus on rhythm. Rhythm consists of a steady consistent beat using the same pitch. This instrument is capable of playing quietly or louder when using more or less force. A loud force is created when Laura shook the kernels harder, the quiet sound is created when Laura shook the kernels softer.

What is Pitch?

The second instrument shown is the one we decided to focus on pitch. Pitch is how high or low a tone sounds. When I hit the glass with more water in it the pitch was higher and when I hit the glass with less water in it the pitch was higher.

What is sound?

Sound is made my vibrations hitting off of each other either at a fast or slow pace making the pitch higher or lower. We hear it when the vibrations hit off something and travel to our ears. Sound can pass through air, water, an object, or any other thing. This is called a medium.
